There are unlimited reasons why people decide that they want to come in for counseling, but here are 5 good reasons to consider counseling:
Feeling a general sense of loss or fatigue that you just can’t shake no matter what;
Changes in eating, sleeping, relating that are extreme (ex: overeating/no appetite, always sleeping/never sleeping, isolating/always needing to be with someone to feel ok);
Upcoming or recent major life transition (new job/job loss, marriage/cohabitation, birth/adoption, death, new home/living situation);
A general sense of irritability or unease;
After a medical professional suggest counseling (like a Physical therapist or Medical Doctor).
Too Long/Didn’t Read: When you notice a change in yourself or someone else, counseling could be beneficial to learn about yourself/others and ultimately heal.
