For some, the decision to come to counseling can be difficult. Much like going to the doctor when you have a sprained ankle before the sprained ankle turns into a torn ligament or another ailment, coming to counseling early on can make the turnaround time quicker.
If your problem is affecting your sleep, diet, work performance, ability to have solid relationships, ability to play or relax, counseling may be a good option for you!

Suspected or reported child abuse or neglect to California Department of Child Support Services.
Suspected or reported elder/dependent adult abuse or neglect to California Adult Protective Services.
Concrete report of plan and intent to kill one's self or when a person is Gravely Disabled to Law Enforcement.

In the beginning, weekly counseling sessions are suggested to help you get where you want to go. I think it is a good idea to schedule the first 5 to 8 counseling sessions weekly to build momentum toward change.
After we have momentum, we can talk about changing the frequency and/or duration of counseling sessions.

You can pay for your counseling sessions using your Health Savings Account (HSA), debit card, credit card, check (payable to Grayson Wallen Professional Counseling), or cash.
I also offer financing through CareCredit which will allow you to buy 10 sessions and pay for them interest free for a 12 month promotional period. You can get more information about Care Credit here.
No counseling services are offered until previous services are paid for in full. You can also sign up to have automatic payments made the same day as your session in your Secure Client Portal. This is by far the easiest and most popular payment method.
Alternative forms of payment (eg. Zelle, Venmo, stock, pre-payment, Crypto) are not accepted at this time. It is something I am actively looking into for the future.

You can cancel your appointment at any time, but if you cancel without 48 hours notice, you will be charged your full fee for the appointment canceled. If you need to cancel, you can call (480-234-8363) or email Grayson directly (Grayson@GraysonWallen.com).

Sorry, I do not accept Medicare or Medi-Cal at this time.
If you would like to use coverage, you can look on Psychology Today's website, click on "Find A Therapist," and enter your coverage information. There will then be a list of preferred providers who accept your preferred coverage.

I am open to talking with you and your partner about what counseling could look like. If someone does not want to come to counseling, they are not required but are welcome to join.
If you are in a couples counseling relationship with me and one person decides that they are not coming, I will not hold the session without them.

Meeting online with Telehealth is a very convenient way to do counseling. One of the best things about Telehealth is that it allows you to be in your space that you want to be in.
Also, instead of sitting in traffic, rushing to an office after work or squeezing a session in, you can be in your own home for our meeting.
With this in mind, your privacy is very important to me, so rest assured that I will be in my office without any interruptions. If you have any questions about the process of meeting with me online or would like more details of what meeting online is like, please contact me directly!
