Starting the change process can be difficult or messy. Especially when you do not know what needs to be different, let alone how to make change happen. Here are 7 things you can do today to kickstart change in your life.
Note: this post is not about how you can change someone else’s life.
Ask yourself: “If a miracle happened in my life tonight, what would be different tomorrow morning when I wake up? How would I know that a miracle happened?”
Try something outside your comfort zone (ex: foods, activities, conversations, destinations).
Ask a friend about what they see in your life: What areas are you handling well? What areas are you struggling with?
Contemplate the areas of your life that bring you stress versus joy. What are the differences? Any similarities?
List out 100 things that you appreciate in your relationships, work, and personal life. Sometimes thinking about what you appreciate will give an optimistic view of the gaps, or areas that need support.
Journal about each month. Write about what changed each month, and what events/conversations/moments made that month stressful or difficult.
