Quick Answer: I see clients in person at my Encinitas office — easy driving distance from Carlsbad, San Diego, and North County — and online anywhere else in California. You're not locked into one format; plenty of my clients mix in-person sessions with virtual ones depending on the week.
In-Person Therapy in Encinitas
My office is a welcoming space just off I-5, easy to get to whether you're coming from the north or south. Encinitas itself is worth the trip on its own — good beaches, good coffee, good places to decompress before or after a session. A lot of people build a little extra time into the visit for exactly that reason.
If you're coming from Claremont, La Jolla, Rancho San Diego, Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Solana Beach, or Cardiff, you're a short drive north. If you're coming from Carlsbad, Oceanside, Bressi Ranch, Vista, or Rancho Bernardo, you're usually inside 20 minutes.
While a lot of the couples and individuals I see in person live right here in Encinitas, I also regularly work with people from Carlsbad, San Diego, and throughout North County.
Serving San Diego
San Diego is a genuinely good place to do deeper relationship and personal work — the sunshine doesn't hurt either. If you're coming from further into San Diego proper, I'm about 20 minutes north depending on traffic, and it's a trip a lot of my clients make regularly for the kind of focused, uninterrupted work that's hard to do at home if there are distractions.

For couples who want to make real progress without stretching it across months of weekly sessions, I also offer Marathon Weekend Intensives — a retreat-style format that concentrates the work into a few focused days. If you're not near Encinitas — Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, wherever — I also see clients virtually across the entire state, using the same Gottman Method approach I use in person. You get the same structure and the same focused attention, just from wherever you are.
Getting to the Office from the Airport
From McClellan-Palomar Airport: plan for about an hour after landing to grab your things and get to the office. From San Diego International Airport: plan for closer to 90 minutes.

Locals are always welcome — a Marathon Intensive isn't about distance, it's about wanting a concentrated stretch of time to work through something specific rather than spreading it across weeks.
