Why Counseling? To Grow
Growing takes work. I remember as a kid I used to think about later in life when I would be all “grown-up”.
I sill do this from time to time and have found that when this happens I lose focus of what is happening right now.
Like RIGHT now as air rushes into your lungs: what are you thinking, needing, wanting, avoiding.
You are growing. Your body is changing, healing, regenerating… growing.
But is your mind?
Do you think that the problems and stressors you are facing right now are the very trellises that will facilitate your growth?
How can you pivot within your problems to see things within a growth mindset?
It will not happen later; I can happen today though if you let it.
PS: Everything starts small. Kids turn into bigger ones that we call adults. Seeds turn into food and flowers. Feelings nudge us until they swell within us. Relationships start with smiles or glances and can eventually hold the weight of life. Growth starts small, but if you let it grow, with time, it will become something bigger, more fruitful and you will then see it’s purpose.
What’s growing in you?
Too Long/Didn’t Read: You are growing, can you let that focus your steps forward? Or will your problem(s) drive your mindset?
