Why Counseling? To Take Chances
When I was a kid I liked watching and then doing action sports. Now that I am an older kid I still love action sports but prefer just watching them because it is less risky.
Today, I don’t like to take chances.
Even with this Blog as a concept (not just this post but the whole idea of the Blog), I was scared of negative feedback, getting criticized, and being a "failure" (#Perfectionism).
With safety, we are more likely to take chances.
In the action sports realm, there is what is called a foam pit which is where you can try your tricks out and land in soft foam instead of the hard ground. You can take chances in a relatively safe way and progress your skills.
Counseling offers a space for you to take chances and learn in a safe environment, recover and make progress on how you tackle life’s problems.
Taking chances in life is hard to do but counseling can make the process easier and ultimately less relationally/emotionally/psychologically painful. You can request a session to have personalized, relational support in your life’s problems by clicking this link.
Too Long/Didn’t Read: Taking chances in life is already difficult. Counseling makes chances and changes less painful.
